Tarmac Tyrants race to victory

A team from Alex Picot Trust took part in the Prosperity Day 2021 cycle challenge in September raising funds for Dementia Jersey and Macmillan Cancer Support (Jersey).

Our directors Chris Cotillard and Steve Gully, and accountant Agi Dzieciatkowska volunteered to get in the saddle on static bikes to race against other organisations along a virtual course.

We were really proud to see their stamina and strength lead them to victory in their group race up the Mount Ventoux climb.

Although not fast enough to make it into the final race of the day, the Alex Picot Trust Tarmac Tyrants were pleased to have been involved in this event which over the past six years has raised more than £100,000 for Jersey charities.

(Chris takes the lead in the first leg ready for Agi to peddle and keep the leader position, leaving Steve to race to the finish line and claim a victory.)

The event is organised annually by Prosperity 247
