Towards the end of 2016 our team initiated a series of Tax Reform Briefings for Jersey based wealth professionals and due to demand we’re delighted to extend these into January.
Designed to help professional advisers navigate the changes to UK and Jersey tax legislation due this year, the briefings are delivered by Chris Cotillard, Director and Hannah Roynon-Jones, Tax Consultant at Jersey trust company, Alex Picot Trust.
Together, Chris and Hannah highlight the potential impact on individuals and provide insights into how wealth professionals can help their clients prepare for the changes. Their presentation explores the options available in terms of deemed domicile individuals and UK residential property ownership; the tax reliefs available to individuals; the enduring benefits of Jersey trusts and the alternative structures worth consideration.
Chris Cotillard, Director of Alex Picot Trust, said:
“With a number of changes to tax legislation announced in the UK’s Autumn Statement and also with impending changes to Jersey tax laws, we decided to offer briefing sessions for our Jersey based wealth management contacts. These informal sessions have provided these businesses with an opportunity to bring their teams up-to-date with the changes and we have had some great feedback. We’re really pleased to continue to offer the sessions which, as well as helping our existing colleagues has also provided us with opportunities to forge new contacts within the wider Jersey network of wealth managers.”
The briefings provide 1 hour CPD and businesses seeking tailored briefings can contact Hannah Roynon-Jones for more information.
